Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C. (ATC) is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing Real Estate Practice Group. This role supports attorneys through all phases of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, representing lenders, developers, property owners, buyers, and sellers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Transaction Support Support attorneys throughout all phases of real estate transactions, from contract through post-closing, including commercial loans and commercial cash transactions. Serve as liaison between sellers, buyers, brokers, banks, title companies, surveyors, and attorneys to ensure transactions progress smoothly. Track transaction milestones, manage critical dates, and maintain closing checklists. Order and review title searches, title commitments, and prepare title policies. Order and review boundary and ALTA surveys, and zoning certification letters/reports. Conduct due diligence research, including lien, judgment, UCC, and bankruptcy searches, and summarize results. Review restrictive covenants, management agreements, leases, and related due diligence materials. Review leases and prepare lease abstracts, tenant estoppels, and SNDAs. Document Preparation Prepare sale closing documents, including closing statements, deeds, affidavits, and resolutions. Prepare loan closing documents, including notes, security deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages, financing statements, assignments, indemnities, certificates, resolutions, and affidavits. Draft correspondence, memoranda, amendments, and other transactional documents for attorney review. Assist with entity formations and prepare organizational and authorization documents. Prepare and file UCC financing statements and coordinate lien/UCC searches. Closing & Post-Closing Schedule and coordinate closings; assist at closings and witness/notarize documents as needed. Disburse closing funds by check and wire. Record deeds, mortgages, UCCs, and other recordable instruments with appropriate state and local agencies across multiple jurisdictions. Manage post-closing functions, including final title searches, closing binders, closing indices, and tracking outstanding post-closing requirements. Facilitate annual title company title/escrow audits. Client & Administrative Support Organize and maintain electronic client files and transaction documentation. Answer client inquiries and respond to calls/emails from potential new clients. Assist with additional projects and transactional support as assigned by attorneys. Qualifications 3–5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience in a law firm environment. Experience supporting lender, developer, and buyer/seller transactions. Strong knowledge of commercial real estate closings, title and survey review, due diligence, UCC filings, and post-closing procedures. Experience with entity formations and corporate organizational documents preferred. Proficiency with O365, NetDocuments, Orion, and Landtech required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-service approach. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a deal team. Bachelor's degree preferred. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved or accredited program required.
