Machine Operator - Structural Steel

Met-Con, Inc., a rapidly growing structural steel fabrication and erection company, is seeking a full-time Machine Operator for our Cocoa, Florida location. Job Description The CNC Machine Operator has experience with one or more of the following: Kinetic Plasma table, Peddinghaus Saw/Drill line, Peddinghaus Angle Master, Ficep Beamline. This position also requires experience with overhead cranes, detailed part marking, and manual lifting of 50lbs regularly. Daily Responsibilities Select correct machine settings for optimal operations Measure materials to assure conformance with design specifications Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions Transfer appropriate data onto materials Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area Keep an accurate record of daily operations and material usage Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist in troubleshooting any machine issues Requirements Experienced operating CNC plasma table or experience with sawing/drilling/cutting operations is required Ability to interpret blueprints, symbols and notes is preferred Must be able to read a tape measure to within 1/16" Ability to perform basic math Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
