Financial Reporting Analyst

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst in Boston, MA.Overview:We are seeking a Senior Budget and Financial Analyst to support organizational leadership by providing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical expertise. This role will partner with business units across the organization to monitor financial performance, develop forecasting models, analyze budget trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile position budget data and funding allocations across financial and human capital management systems
• Review and approve position funding requests and related budget transactions
• Develop, generate, and maintain financial, budgeting, workforce, and operational reports from multiple enterprise systems
• Support the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting cycles, and the distribution of approved budgets
• Monitor and maintain short- and long-range financial forecasting models
• Prepare analyses highlighting budget trends, variances, discrepancies, and funding adjustments
• Evaluate operating performance and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
• Partner with business leaders and department stakeholders to identify short- and long-term financial challenges and funding requirements
• Lead special projects and complex financial analyses, providing guidance and support to junior analysts when needed
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, procurement, and human resources teams to resolve financial and budget-related issues
• Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and financial analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 4-8 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting methodologies, and financial reporting
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Prior experience leading projects, mentoring team members, or providing analytical guidance is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
