Work Environment

This role will primarily take place onsite as part of our home care setup, allowing for a flexible and dynamic work environment. You will operate from our state-of-the-art facility that spans 5,000 square feet, equipped with the latest technology and resources tailored for sports medicine and rehabilitation. Your work hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable work-life balance while contributing to the health and wellness of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to establish their individual goals and needs.
• Manage a caseload where you will see one patient per hour, allowing for focused and uninterrupted patient interaction.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans that target improving mobility, strength, flexibility, and functional capacity.
• Employ cost-effective treatment techniques to lessen patients' reliance on medication and to explore alternatives to surgery.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques adeptly to manage pain and enhance performance.
• Ensure thorough documentation of patient care services and treatment progress in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals—including physicians and occupational therapists—to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Encourage and educate patients on the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle and optimizing health through exercise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily caters to individuals with orthopedic issues who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, and other conditions requiring rehabilitation. Many of our patients have private medical insurance, allowing for a focused approach to care without the constraints often found in larger healthcare systems. You will have the opportunity to build strong, lasting relationships with patients as you guide them through their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Must hold an active and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record devoid of any disciplinary actions against the license is mandatory.
• Strong manual therapy skills and expertise in developing tailored exercise protocols in outpatient settings are essential.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in developing individualized fitness and wellness programs that align with patient needs and goals.

Compensation and Benefits
