Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Calibration Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, repairs, and adjustments on a wide range of measuring and test equipment.
• Document calibration results, including out-of-tolerance conditions, and maintain accurate calibration records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Develop and implement calibration procedures and work instructions in accordance with industry standards.
• Maintain calibration standards and ensure their accuracy and traceability to national standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address equipment calibration needs and support manufacturing processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to calibration processes and equipment reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology) or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience performing calibrations in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficient in using and troubleshooting various test and measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, temperature probes).
• Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and calibration procedures.
• Experience with calibration management software (e.g., Blue Mountain RAM, IndySoft, Met/CAL).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automated calibration systems.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Ability to perform minor repairs on test equipment.
• Experience with Gage Management Software (e.g., IndySoft, GAGEtrak).
