You'll join a business with a long track record of engineering excellence, set in the wonderful town of Burbank filled with great community atmosphere, schools, weather and no shortage of entertainment.Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Essential Functions:Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer ordersAnalyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirementsPlan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead timesPlan sequence of fabrication and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workersConfer with supervisors to determine status of assigned projects; expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditionsPrepare production reportsPrepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipmentAny other tasks assigned by supervisor or managementMinimum Qualifications:Experience: 5+ years' experience in scheduling, supply chain or fulfillmentKnowledge: Strong working knowledge of manufacturing, production planning and materials control functions; Strong understanding of Kanban Systems, JIT, POU, FIFO, Level loading, with a manufacturing process understanding preferredSkills/Abilities: Expert in using scheduling and capacity planning tools experience with Oracle; Significant experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication and interpersonal skillsEducation/Certification: BS degree requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Lean Manufacturing strongly preferredExperience with Oracle (11i preferred)Eligibility Requirement:This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
