Job Summary:
An operating room registered nurse (RN) position is available in Austin, Texas, within the specialty of Operating Room. This position involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. Job Details:

• Location: Austin, TX
• Shift Hours: 12 hours (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/13/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications are a MUST for Certified Surgical Technicians (CSTs); candidates must possess neuro/spine experience, cardiac experience, and work in an EMR environment such as Meditech.
• Schedule: Day shifts with 4 to 5 shifts per 6-week period minimum, including 4 to 5 late shifts; call required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in multiple service lines including orthopedics, neuro, general, and robotic procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has low turnover, a history of transitioning contract staff to permanent roles, and places a strong emphasis on teamwork and positive collaboration.
• Surgical procedures commonly performed include appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spine fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps.
• The unit provides scrubs with a dress code requiring closed-toe, heeled, non-slip shoes.
