IR works to ensure that the financial markets have a deep and thorough understanding of Citi's strategy, financial performance and growth prospects, and in turn, that Senior Management understands the market's perspective on Citi. IR is also principally responsible, in conjunction with Finance and Legal, for ensuring that Citi's external disclosures and financial communications are appropriate and help the Street develop an understanding of Citi.Investor Relations is responsible for all quarterly earnings documents (analyst presentation, press release, CFO script) as well as all Senior Management with investors, including conferences, non-deal roadshows and other meetings. IR is also integrally involved in the preparation of 10-K, 10-Q and other public filings to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of disclosures. Senior members of IR communicate with sell-side analysts and investors on a daily basis to provide transparency into the Company and the market environment. This interaction provides IR with insight into the Street's views of Citi, its competitors and the industry. This allows IR to advise Senior Management about market expectations for Citi, which is critical in developing strategic messages and new disclosures to respond with the ever-evolving market environment.Investor Relations Director will report to the Head of Equity Investor Relations and has regular interaction with the Head of Investor Relations, Citi’s CFO, Business and Function Heads, and other members of Citi’s Finance organization. The position involves handling complex and confidential information requiring the highest level of discretion and independent judgment.ResponsibilitiesAssist in driving the overall team’s strategy and agenda, focusing on enhancing communication, operating efficiency, governance, process efficiency and effectiveness of the IR functionResponsible for coordinating and monitoring the overall key deliverables for the group, including those for internal & external presentations and leading key initiatives when requiredSupport senior members of the team in creating materials related to Citi’s financial results and strategic objectives including those related to quarterly earnings, conferences and Investor Day presentationsDraft scripts and talking points for senior management’s internal and external communicationDevelop and maintain positive and effective relationship with investors, internal and external partners, and stakeholdersCommunicate effectively with the investment community (sell-side analysts and buy-side investors) including by leading calls and in-person meetingsStay abreast of and analyze qualitative and quantitative changes to equity research estimates and modelsWork with relevant partners and stakeholders to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Citi’s businesses, financials, and strategy, as well as relevant industry topics and peer comparisonsManage ad hoc and special projectsResponsible for reviewing all SVP / VP / AVP / Analyst work productSupport preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings as well as other financial disclosuresCreation, direction, and management of financial analytics including shareholder and valuation analyses, earnings reactions and industry dynamics and report to senior management as neededAssist in the development for external dissemination a clear, cohesive message regarding Citi's strategy, initiatives, and resultsProvide Senior Management with insights on investor thinkingArrange and prepare senior management for participation in investor meetings and conferencesQualifications12+ years of financial services experience in either Investor Relations, investment banking, or corporate strategyDegree in Finance, MBA preferredStrong understanding of banking and financial services industry, including P&L, balance sheet, capital and drivers of profitability and valuation as well as peer comparisons and industry trendsKnowledge of bank regulatory environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills, with experience writing scripts and talking pointsStrategic and project management capabilities coupled with strong analytic and financial acumenStrong interpersonal and influence management skillsAbility to build and manage relationships with external investors and analysts as well as within CitiDemonstrated process improvement and leadership experience requiredAbility to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines and multiple demandsProactive, creative and flexible in approaching undefined projectsAbility to learn and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environmentSound business judgment and ethics------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Communications and External Relations------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Investor Relations------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$170,000.00 - $300,000.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
