The Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices daily, performing a 3-way match, assists with customer invoicing, and various other accounting transactions. This position requires the ability to work independently, follow through with assignments with minimal oversight, and maintain discretion. This position is 100% onsite in St. Peters, MO.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and process invoices for payment
- PO processing with three-way match
- Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
- Initiate weekly check run, ACH, and wires
- Process check requests as needed
- Prepare and distribute customer invoices
- Post Transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Maintain vendor and customer files
- Process expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
- Corporate credit card administration
- Code and process monthly credit card transactions
- Pull reports & perform financial review to ensure accuracy of accounting records
- Reconcile vendor statements to system payable
- Complete credit applications, tax-exempt request forms, and W-9's
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- W-9 Tracking and 1099 Filing
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- 5+ years experience accounts payable/receivable or accounting in general.
- Experience with accounting software (preferred Business Central, NV, Dynamics, Real Steel, Great Plains)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Outlook
- Highly motivated and willing team player who is committed to process improvement & financial accuracy
- Knowledge of general accounting policies and procedures
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Strong data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
