Chief Financial Officer

The client seeks a Chief Financial Officer to provide executive financial leadership and set organizational policy in partnership with the executive team. The role is responsible for managing the overall financial requirements of the organization and reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer. The organization delivers integrated behavioral health, supportive housing, youth enrichment, preventive health, and case management services for individuals and families facing complex challenges. The Chief Financial Officer will lead and manage the Finance Department, including oversight of compliance and financial recognition for government contracts and private grants. In addition, the CFO will oversee the IT and Facilities (Property Management) departments. The role operates in an environment that is continually evolving and requires the ability to thrive in deadline-oriented, high-accountability settings. The client is looking for a seasoned, mature financial leader with at least seven years of broad financial experience. Experience is expected to include starting in audit, followed by gathering and evaluating financial information and translating it into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. The ideal background includes managing finance for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources and diverse program areas, with responsibility for core functions such as accounting, budgeting, controls, and reporting.
