Business Development Manager Benelux Interventional Cardiology (German Speaker)

As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for the growth and development of the intra‑aortic balloon pump and catheter portfolio (IAB), reporting directly to the Regional IAB Sales Director for the EMEA region. Responsible for marketing the company’s implantable medical devices and associated equipment to hospitals, clinics and doctors, as required, the Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for providing support, delivering training and/or offering advice during procedures, whilst complying with applicable regulatory requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the sales and promotional activity throughout the assigned geographical area. Manage the full sales process and any local marketing and customer engagement activity. Able to grow sales of several leading industry products. Use this existing customer base to introduce new and innovative technologies. Create and increase relations with key customers in both the private and public sector and associated staff. Advise on the appropriate use of the product during the procedure. Collect feedback on the product portfolio. Manage existing and new contracts. Negotiate with procurement. Attend marketing and internal training events both in country and occasionally across.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Whilst full training is given on the products, this role would suit an individual who thrives from autonomy, with an aptitude for technical and clinically challenging products, is self‑starting, eager to learn new skills and happy to work outside of their comfort zone. Ideally, you should have a bachelor’s degree in a business‑related qualification. You must be a strong team player, highly analytical, have a level of IT literacy and sales/negotiation techniques.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

This role would suit an experienced Sales Professional selling medical devices into Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology, Intensive Care, Biomedical Engineering. Associated staff include nursing staff, procurement professionals, and internal key stakeholders including Clinical Medical Affairs (CMA) and EMEA marketing functions.
