Automation Testing Analyst Job Req Id: 26969938 Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Job Type: Hybrid Posted: Jun. 18, 2026 Job Overview The Testing Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role that deals with most problems independently and has latitude to solve complex problems. Integrating in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices, the analyst applies analytical thinking, data analysis tools, and methodologies. Attention to detail is required when making judgments and recommendations based on factual information. The role typically deals with variable issues that may have broader business impact, applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results, and breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex or sensitive information. The analyst has a moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses’ core activities, and the quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of the team and other closely related teams. Responsibilities Conduct initiatives related to System Integration Testing (SIT) process and product rollout into production, working with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach; responsibilities may include software quality assurance testing. Conduct a variety of tests and analyses to ensure that systems and/or applications meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements. Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements, developing test plans, test cases, and scripts. Handle complex testing assignments and execute test scripts according to application requirements documentation. Identify defects and recommend appropriate course of action; perform root cause analyses. Coordinate multiple testers and testing activities within a project. Retest after corrections are made to ensure problems are resolved. Document, evaluate, and research test results for future replication. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance testing strategies. Interface with development teams if clarification is needed on requirements or to convey test results. Exhibit a good understanding of concepts and principles in one’s technical area and a basic knowledge of related areas. Understand how one’s area integrates within IT testing to achieve objectives. Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information. Participate in test strategy meetings. Have direct impact on the team and closely related teams by ensuring the quality of tasks, services, and information provided by self and others. Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents. Apply sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information. Provide informal guidance to new team members. Perform other duties as assigned.
