Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is acceptable with a commitment to complete BSN within four years. Recommended skills include strong clinical assessment, adaptability to high-acuity environments, and effective communication. Experience with trauma protocols and EMR systems is valuable.
