Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate up to seven patients daily, conducting thorough assessments to determine their unique rehabilitation needs and capabilities.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices aimed at improving patient mobility.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, effective exercise regimens, and proper use of assistive devices.
• Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of new protocols and best practices based on current research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including elderly individuals recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions, as well as younger patients in need of rehabilitation following injuries. Our goal is to provide individualized care that addresses the specific challenges faced by each patient, fostering independence and functional improvement.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Physical Therapist License is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required, with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) strongly preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is essential for this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in skilled nursing or inpatient rehabilitation facilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and rehabilitation software will be beneficial.
• Certification in specialized treatment techniques, such as aquatic therapy or geriatrics, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
