We are customer focused and are driven to provide the best value for our customers.Job SummaryWe have an immediate opening for an Industrial Automation Engineer with experience in automation programming for a wide range of projects as they progress from concept to installation. The projects vary greatly and consist of various manufacturing equipment, control room setting, robotics, safety sensors, vision systems, etc. This individual will work independently and hands on with Impact Guard team to design, customize, test, troubleshoot and optimize current and future processes.QualificationsQualifications & Competency RequirementsBachelor's or equivalent 5+ experience relevant programming work experience required.Experience with PLC and HMI software such as Siemens is requiredExperience with Ignition software is preferred.Possess relevant programming certifications or coursework preferred.Advanced proficiency with personal computers to include Microsoft Office, configuration, networking, IP Addresses, etc.Valid driver's license required.Possess electrical aptitude and willingness to perform hands on work.Working experience with Python or other programming languages would be preferred.Experience reading and interpreting manuals and electrical drawings required.Ability to understand and interpret scope of work for specific tasks.Ability to follow work direction and prioritize assigned tasks.Ability to perform mathematical calculations, graphing, and scaling accurately.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to work well both independently and as a team.Ability to meet deadlines.Willingness to stretch current abilities to learn new skills.Project Management experience will be a plusWork ExperienceMinimum 5 yearsUnusual Physical RequirementThis position will require standing and walking for an extended period of time, wearing protective gear, lifting and moving objects - up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing and inspecting equipment and materials.
