Sr. Accountant

Location: Foster City, CA

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000

My client is a long-established and well-respected facilities services in Foster City, CA. They have a reputation built on strong customer service and relations and treating their employees with that same respect. They are highly collaborative and value accountability, a strong work ethic and a focus on process improvement.

This is small office environment where collaboration and the willingness to help in other accounting/finance areas is critical to your success, the team’s success and the company’s success.

At the same time, they are looking to grow their operations and revenue. This role will help them ensure a strong accounting and financial foundation is in place to scale with the growth.

What you will be responsible for:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and perform in-depth financial analysis to assess company performance.
• Oversee and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, manage fixed assets, and maintain bank statements.
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Account Receivable as needed.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards like GAAP
• Sales and Use tax preparation
• Helping to improve accounting systems and internal controls
• Work with outside CPA to prepare taxes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibility experience in a service industry environment.
• Strong computer skills including QuickBooks, and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimal supervision.
• Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skills.
