Project Accountant

Responsibilities Oversees accounting for projects including maintenance of the general ledger and month-end close process Works closely with Program Management team in budget and forecast preparation, project financial analysis, and development of internal control policies and procedures Performs daily and monthly accounting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations and general ledger transactions Prepares monthly client invoicing in coordination with Program Management team Enters subcontractor accounts payable invoices and manage needed cash disbursements Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial information in accordance with GAAP Prepares routine financial reports and ad-hoc reports for operational review and decision making Provides analysis and recommendations to senior leadership by analyzing project financial performance, analyzing budget variances, and ensuring compliance Assists with submission of information and necessary communication with internal and external auditors and respond appropriately to auditor comments and recommendations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience Intermediate level skills in Adobe, Excel and other MS Office tools Effective verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary Experience with mid-large size engineering/construction organization CPA license Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of US GAAP Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines High-level analytic skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
