Senior Mechanical Engineer – Dallas, TX
A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Dallas team. This role offers the opportunity to design mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects, with a strong focus on mission-critical facilities.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will serve as the mechanical lead on assigned projects, developing design solutions, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring projects meet quality, schedule, budget, and code requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC and mechanical systems for mission-critical and other complex facilities
- Lead development of conceptual designs, equipment selections, construction documents, specifications, and energy models
- Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural, and other disciplines
- Review designs and calculations for accuracy, quality, and constructability
- Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Support construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, and site inspections
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of MEP engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Texas PE license or ability to obtain through NCEES credentials
- Strong mechanical/HVAC design experience
- Revit experience preferred
