A rapidly growing industrial and electrical construction organization is seeking seven (7) Assistant Project Manager II professionals to support a large-scale, high-profile capital construction project in the Taylor, Texas area. These positions are critical to project delivery, and qualified candidates will be given immediate consideration. Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager II serves as a key member of the project management team, supporting project execution from planning through closeout. This position combines office and field responsibilities and requires strong organizational skills, cost management experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients. Successful candidates will be hands-on contributors who can manage documentation, track project costs, support change management processes, and help ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day project execution and coordination efforts Track project costs and assist with budget management Manage and monitor RFIs, submittals, and project documentation Maintain change logs and support change order administration Coordinate with field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders Assist with schedule monitoring and project reporting Support project controls and forecasting activities Ensure compliance with project safety and quality standards Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to leadership Help drive successful project execution through proactive planning and follow-through Required Qualifications 3-6 years of construction project experience Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Field Engineer, or similar project support role Experience supporting active construction projects in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of: Cost tracking and budget controls, RFI management, Change order and change log administration Preferred Background Electrical construction Solar energy projects Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Power generation or utility projects Heavy industrial facilities Contractor-side experience is strongly preferred. Education Bachelor's Degree in: Construction Management Or related discipline preferred Certifications OSHA-10 required within 30 days of hire OSHA-30 strongly preferred Additional Requirements Valid Driver's License Ability to pass background screening and drug testing Ability to work on-site in Taylor, TX Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates This is a culture where professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and execution matter.
