Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. This role manages a team of accounting staff, supports month‑end and year‑end close processes, and partners with senior leadership on financial strategy and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed assets Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal accounting policies Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures Manage and mentor accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management Assist with tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency Ensure accurate and timely cash flow reporting Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Preferred: CPA certification Experience with ERP system implementation or process automation Attention to detail and accuracy Strong leadership and team management Ability to work under deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution ability High level of integrity and confidentiality #J-18808-Ljbffr Clark Davis Associates
