Territory Sales Representative - Pacific Northwest

A growing equipment manufacturer is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive business growth across a multi-state territory throughout the Pacific Northwest region . This is a field-based role focused on developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and expanding market share throughout the assigned region. The ideal candidate is a true hunter with a proven track record of building territories, identifying new opportunities, and closing business. This role requires someone who enjoys being on the road, has prior experience managing a travel-intensive territory, and is comfortable spending approximately 50% of their time visiting customers, distributors, and industry events. Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the assigned multi-state territory Prospect and secure new customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts Identify new market opportunities and grow market share through consultative selling Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closing Build long-term relationships with distributors, dealers, end users, and key decision-makers Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and business reviews throughout the territory Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, customer support, and operations teams to deliver outstanding customer service Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM activity, and pipeline reporting Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry meetings Qualifications Previous B2B outside sales experience within heavy equipment, industrial equipment, manufacturing, OEM, or related industries Proven success growing a territory through new business development and relationship management Hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to generate new opportunities and consistently exceed sales goals Previous experience managing a travel-based territory with approximately 50% travel required Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region #J-18808-Ljbffr Herk & Associates - Heavy Equipment Jobs
