The Clinical Pharmacist at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services to ensure safe, effective medication use and excellent patient care. This role includes verifying medication orders, dispensing medications, managing drug therapies, monitoring patient-specific factors, and supporting pharmacy operations within a collaborative healthcare environment. Shift: Days – rotating weekends

 

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals safely
• Monitor medication therapy for drug-drug and drug-food interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriate dosing
• Support hospital formulary management and therapeutic interchange programs
• Provide medication information to patients and healthcare professionals
• Perform clinical services including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation monitoring, renal dosing, IV-to-PO conversion, nutrition support, pain management, and drug consultations
• Document clinical interventions and report medication errors or adverse drug reactions
• Supervise pharmacy operations and support the pharmacy team

 

Required Qualifications

• BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing

Pay and Shift Differentials

52/hr Min – $59/hr Mid – $64/hr Max (Based on Experience)

• 2nd Shift: +$2.00/hr
• 3rd Shift: +$4.25/hr
• Extra Shift Premium: +$3.00/hr
