We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist - Level 1 to support daily front desk operations in Oakland, CA. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a positive first impression, managing visitor interactions, and keeping office activities organized. The person in this role will handle a mix of reception, meeting support, and administrative duties while helping maintain a smooth and efficient workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome employees, guests, and service providers in a courteous manner and ensure they are directed appropriately upon arrival.

• Manage incoming telephone calls, respond to routine inquiries, and route messages or calls to the correct contacts.

• Prepare visitor badges and access credentials while following site procedures for entry and security.

• Arrange meeting spaces before scheduled use, including room readiness and basic setup support.

• Provide day-to-day clerical assistance such as document handling, scheduling support, and general office coordination.

• Respond to workplace service requests and help resolve routine front office needs in a timely manner.

• Maintain an organized reception area that reflects a detail-oriented and positive experience for visitors and staff.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with visitors, employees, and vendors.
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks at once in a busy office setting.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on-site in Toms River, New Jersey.
• Willingness to complete required pre-employment screening, including candidate screening requirements if applicable.
