Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to function in a fast-paced environment Adept with EPIC Experience in smaller fast-paced facilities Description: The role requires caring for high acuity patient populations. Nurses will treat an average of 70-80 patients per day. Nurse to Patient ratio is 4:1. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and uncontrolled diabetes. Nurses may need to triage patients and will be expected to handle various responsibilities, including those typically assigned to a charge nurse. There will be a need for collaboration with physicians and mid-level providers. The applicant should have experience with administering common medications and drips. Nurses will also draw labs as needed. There is a strong emphasis on behavioral health safety, with dedicated rooms available. Candidates should be comfortable with floating between facilities as needed. Weekend and holiday coverage will be required as part of the schedule.
