Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical SurgicalThe Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position entails working nights with a schedule of four 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.Monitor and manage patient conditions in a Medical Surgical unit.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records using Epic.Participate in patient and family education.Assist in rapid response situations as needed.Shifts and StaffingShift: Four 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)Patient Ratios: 1:6-7; staffing supports a normal ratio of 1:6 but may adjust to 1:7 during unplanned absences.Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend.Floating: Required to float within scope to meet facility needs and assist other like units.QualificationsExperience: Preferred candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.Licensure: A current South Carolina license or compact license must be obtained prior to the start date.Certifications: Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Skills: Proficient in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response experience.Additional InformationCharting: EpicParking: Free parking available.Hurricane Season: Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
