Internal Communications Specialist

DUAL North America is seeking a temporary Internal Communications Specialist to support our team from September 2026 to January 2027.

Role responsibilities include:

• Owning media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists and identifying proactive media opportunities
• Drafting and distributing press releases, and supporting executive thought leadership content and interviews
• Planning, writing, and distributing internal communications, including executive updates, newsletters, and leadership messaging
• Partnering with HR and business leaders to align internal communications around key company initiatives, onboarding, and employee engagement
• Driving adoption and engagement of internal communications platforms (e.g., Viva Engage)
• Supporting crisis and issues communications as needed
• Managing social media content planning, creation, and distribution, and monitoring brand sentiment across channels
• Tracking and reporting on media placements and internal communications engagement metrics
• Collaborating with the Creative Marketing Specialist and Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels

Key requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or internal communications, ideally within financial services, insurance, or a related B2B industry
• Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Travel required up to 10% of the time
• Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the workday to perform tasks in a remote, home-office setting
