Job Title: Critical Care Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care License: Valid state or compact RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Flexibility to float to all ICU units Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float Pool. This position supports various critical care units. The role requires the ability to float to different ICUs as needed, including Neuro, Surgical, and Cardiovascular. Candidates must have strong skills in the management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Responsibilities include interpretation of dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips. The RN will need to obtain 12 lead EKGs and assist with various critical care procedures. Experience in caring for ventilated patients is essential. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of every other weekend. This position involves working within and contributing to a supportive interdisciplinary team. All candidates must comply with fingerprinting and credentialing processes. Two professional references are required, with one from a manager or direct supervisor. Previous charge experience is preferred. This role requires strong communication skills and adaptability to changing clinical environments. In this position, the RN will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a demanding setting.
