Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in critical care License: Active state or compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Current acute care experience within the last 12 months. - Experience with patient care in a critical care environment. Description: The position involves working in a medical intensive care unit. Common patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Most patients present with oncologic emergencies, respiratory issues, and sepsis. You will be responsible for administering complex medication regimens. Common procedures include mechanical ventilation and central line management. Experience with computerized charting in Epic is required. The role may require flexibility to work rotating shifts as per departmental needs. Candidates should have experience managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction. Applicants must be able to demonstrate skills in IV starts and ventilator management. Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential. This position is suitable for first-time travelers. References from previous supervisors or managers are required to support your application. All candidates must be compliant with credentialing processes in a timely manner. Please ensure that you are aware of the requirements related to fingerprinting.
