About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required. First-time travelers accepted. Preferred experience in Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required. Must-Have: Experience in arterial line management, central line care/management, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients. Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias. Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Experience in maintaining IVs and managing invasive monitoring. Ability to float to different units as required. Description: This position is for a Surgical ICU Nurse working night shifts. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting. Daily responsibilities include cardiovascular monitoring, administering blood products, and managing chronic and acute renal failure patients. Nurses will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit specializes in treating trauma, burns, and post-surgical patients. Candidates must be proactive in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Floating to different units may be required based on staffing needs. Call duties may be part of the position. Nurses will work with specialized equipment, including ventilators, IV pumps, and monitoring devices.
