Staff Scientist - Injectable Device Testing

Staff Scientist position at Thermo Fisher Scientific's laboratory services division in Middleton, Wisconsin. Provides senior technical leadership for complex analytical development, validation, and method establishment work while serving as subject matter expert for specific technologies and mentoring laboratory staff.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight for analytical development, validation, transfer, and method establishment programs
Serve as subject matter expert and senior technical authority for assigned analytical technologies or platforms
Guide scientific decision-making, experimental design, and data interpretation across multiple programs
Review and approve technical documents including methods, protocols, and quality records
Mentor Senior Scientists and laboratory staff on advanced technical skills and scientific judgment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience, or PhD with 4+ years experience
Expert-level technical knowledge in analytical testing, method development, or related scientific discipline
Demonstrated ability to lead non-routine analytical programs and complex investigations
Strong scientific judgment and regulatory compliance expertise
Experience with GMP and quality management systems
Mentoring and technical leadership capability
