Position Summary

The Application Engineer provides technical sales and customer support for industrial products and engineered solutions. This role serves as a key resource for customers and internal stakeholders by preparing quotations, responding to technical inquiries, supporting business development activities, and helping identify solutions that meet customer requirements. The position requires strong technical aptitude, customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver verbal and written quotations for domestic and international customers and channel partners.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping methods, tracking information, freight charges, pricing, product availability, and related matters.
• Evaluate business opportunities and coordinate requests for quotations to ensure customer requirements are accurately addressed.
• Serve as a technical resource to customers and internal teams by identifying solutions and resolving technical questions.
• Support sales growth initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and expand business relationships.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of customer requests.
• Document customer interactions, sales activities, and business opportunities within company systems.
• Track and manage sales opportunities throughout the customer engagement process.
• Assist with contract reviews, commercial terms, and customer negotiations as required.
• Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve routine and complex technical and commercial issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with established processes and procedures.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions and contract review processes.

• Understanding of technical sales, application engineering, and manufacturing support functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and quality in work output.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and similar business software.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise business systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production environments, and industrial products is beneficial.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field preferred.
• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background is highly desirable.
• Approximately five years of relevant experience in application engineering, technical sales, customer support, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
• Experience with engineered products, industrial equipment, flow control systems, fluid mechanics, process equipment, automation, or related technologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
