Experienced Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant

Ven Johnson Law, PLC is Michigan's Premier Personal Injury Litigation Firm.

Our Detroit office is looking for an experienced Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant to join our team. This position requires a wide variety of skills, including an understanding of legal terminology and procedures. Candidates must have strong organizational skills and typing skills while assisting with daily casework.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case files;
Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies;
Perform e-filing, oversee filing deadlines and maintain attorney calendar;
Coordinate discovery processes, including document production and medical records requests;
Schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings; and
Trial preparation.
