Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Salary: Based on experience
Position Type: Direct Hire 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems within a manufacturing environment. This position requires mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a regulated

manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facility/building systems
• Analyze mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement corrective actions
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to established schedules
• Replace worn or defective parts and ensure equipment operates efficiently
• Test equipment after maintenance to verify proper operation
• Identify recurring equipment malfunctions and communicate recommended corrective actions to supervisors
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation
• Perform basic three-phase electrical troubleshooting
• Utilize mechanical skills, including basic machine shop and welding skills when required
• Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment downtime
• Follow all safety, OSHA, and company policies
• Maintain compliance with applicable GMP and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or Technical School Diploma required
• 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Technician preferred
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or solid dosage manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment preferred
• Facility maintenance background is a plus
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Basic knowledge of three-phase electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational equipment issues
• Basic machine shop and welding skills preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong math and reading comprehension skills
• Verbal and written English communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary
• Ability to lift equipment parts and tools as required
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and shift transitions when required

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment involving solid dosage/capsule production
• Exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, and moving parts
• Must follow GMP, safety, and regulatory compliance standards at all times
