Step into a dynamic role supporting K-8 students as a dedicated school psychologist in a thriving educational environment near Chicago, IL. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact through meaningful collaboration, focusing primarily on IEP evaluations within inclusive (LRE1) and self-contained (LRE2) settings. Youll work closely with the Dean of Specialized Services, enabling a collaborative, supportive experience as you support students diverse needs. The schedule begins at 2-3 days per week (roughly 20-30 hours) for the first few months, transitioning to 1 day per week (7-8 hours) as the assignment progresses through the end of the school year. Key Qualifications Active Illinois School Psychologist License and PEL are required Successful completion of a school-administered background check before start Experience in K-8 settings preferred The ability to handle a moderate caseload (84 IEPs, including 70 students in LRE1 and 12 in LRE2) Familiarity with IEP evaluation processes Comfortable collaborating on an interdisciplinary team Flexible, solutions-oriented, and efficient in a contract environment Primary Responsibilities Conduct high-quality IEP evaluations and manage related documentation Provide consultative support to teachers, staff, and families Collaborate with the Dean of Specialized Services and school teams Participate virtually in interviews (Zoom) and maintain communication with stakeholders Support inclusion and self-contained classroom environments This assignment is an excellent opportunity for a motivated school psychologist seeking flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful difference.
