As an Operating Engineer , you will be part of the engineering department supporting a dynamic team in maintaining a state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Operating Engineer Location: St. Louis, MO Pay Range: $35-$40/hr. What's the Job? Lead the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems within a large, Class A office and life science building. Complete tasks such as painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC system upkeep, water treatment, locksmith work, and general building maintenance. Assist in supervising and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal building performance. Maintain accurate work order records using the CMMS system and address tenant service requests promptly. Support emergency response efforts and participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs to uphold safety standards. What's Needed? 5-10 years of relevant experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry. Trade school education, union training, military service, or college background is desirable. Universal EPA certification. Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
