Job Description Now Hiring: Director of Project Accounting Are you a strategic accounting leader with deep expertise in project and construction accounting? We are seeking a Director of Project Accounting to lead financial operations across a portfolio of complex projects while partnering with Operations, Project Management, and Executive Leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of Project Accountants and billing professionals Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, forecasting, and project financial performance Ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards Manage progress billings, retainage tracking, and project invoicing Analyze project margins, cost variances, and financial risks Drive process improvements and ERP optimization initiatives Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and financial compliance Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability and financial transparency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 10+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on project or construction accounting 5+ years of leadership experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, job costing, and WIP reporting Experience with ERP systems; COINS experience preferred Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments What You'll Bring Strategic thinking and business acumen Strong leadership and communication skills A process-improvement mindset Exceptional attention to detail and accountability If you're ready to lead a high-performing project accounting function and drive operational success, we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing
