Resident Service Coordinator- Cityside Huntington Metro Apartments

Position Summary The Resident Service Coordinator has the primary responsibility of providing and coordinating programs and services to help residents maintain a good quality of life. The coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service to all residents and act as a buffer between residents and property management staff. Job Title Resident Service Coordinator Reports To Community Manager FLSA Status Non‑Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a liaison to community agencies, network with community service providers, and seek out new services available to residents; identify low‑cost providers and negotiate discounts. Monitor ongoing provision of services from community agencies and maintain documentation of individual progress; manage delivery of supportive services when appropriate. Engage all residents in the building(s) to identify areas of need and make referrals to community agencies when necessary. Develop a Resource Directory listing state and/or local service providers, including services for families, children, elderly residents, persons with disabilities, and emergency assistance. Sponsor educational events covering health care, agency support, life skills, and referral sources. Implement on‑site or mobile health services and screenings. Organize and promote resident involvement in on‑ and off‑site programs. Assist residents in building informal support networks with other residents, family, and friends. Engage volunteers within the community and/or property when appropriate. Provide quality customer service to all residents, answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting with basic needs. Assist residents in acquiring and utilizing community services such as housekeeping, meals, transportation, personal services, financial assistance, day care, counseling, and other services, in compliance with HUD policies. Ensure all residents are treated with respect and dignity; report all complaints and allegations of abuse to appropriate supervisors or authorities. Perform miscellaneous and special tasks as requested. Adhere to all corporate compliance, drug‑free workplace, safe work practices, and all federal, state, and local regulations and laws. Build rapport with residents while maintaining professional boundaries to assist residents in aging in place successfully. Manage time independently, completing required tasks and documentation within identified time frames. Work autonomously and as part of a team to ensure residents receive the best opportunities to age in place successfully. Respond to all communications (phone, email, fax, etc.) in a timely and professional manner. Complete all professional trainings required in a timely manner. Utilize appropriate documentation systems to track all work done with residents. Complete all required paperwork for residents who want to utilize the Service Coordination program. Complete Care Plans/Quarterly Monitoring with residents needing referrals and follow up on all services after implementation. Submit Semi‑Annual Performance Reports to HUD to maintain funding for the Service Coordination program at the property. Meet requirements outlined in the Quality Assurance Review Process and Semi‑Annual File Review Process, including resident assessments, programs, policy compliance, and education and wellness programs. Complete training as assigned in the Individual Education Plan. Skills / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in social service delivery with elderly and/or family populations; demonstrated knowledge of supportive services and resources in the area served; proven ability to advocate, organize, problem‑solve, and provide results for residents. Strong communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be organized, detail‑oriented, and have good time‑management skills. Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed. Ability to multi‑task and work in a busy environment.
