3962 HWY 401 WESTBOUND, NEWCASTLE, L1B 1C2 ONroute Brand Manager ONroute is a Canadian company that provides a clean, safe & friendly environment at our 23 travel centres along the busy 401 and 400 highways in Ontario. We are open 24/7/365 to proudly serve over 40 million customers each year who stop in to our plazas for our quick service food brands and convenience needs. Key Responsibilities Oversee and schedule day‑to‑day operations to deliver sales and budgeted targets. Execute ordering and all inventory processes. Hire, train, coach, and develop the hourly team, including health & safety. Deliver brand, audit, and customer service standards. Act as Manager‑in‑Charge when the General Manager or Associate General Manager are absent. Maintain inventory levels and food cost targets, including waste, par builds and variances; ensure accurate data in the inventory management system. Train, coach, and manage food cost on the floor daily, posting proactive action plans and production build charts, and review daily waste for accuracy. Role model and ensure all team members are trained to meet or exceed brand, audit and customer service standards, including franchise audits, MTO audits, mystery shop, Health Department, MOL, Employment Standards Act Ontario and EcoSure regulations. Complete self‑audits and assessments at required intervals, developing action plans to address opportunities. Achieve high quality customer service, monitoring interactions during peak times and providing coaching and adjustments as required. Hire, train, coach, and develop crew members and shift supervisors; communicate clear performance expectations and provide feedback. Ensure scheduling meets labour targets and coverage for the brand while maintaining proper coverage and customer service at all times; post schedules three weeks out. Enforce Health & Safety processes and procedures, ensuring training at or above 90% in the ONroute Health & Safety Portal and required representation in First Aid, ServSafe, Joint Health & Safety Committee topics. Communicate and enforce the employee code of conduct, manage employee relations, asset management and other ONroute policies and procedures. When acting as Manager‑In‑Charge, collaborate across brands to deliver the highest customer service levels, managing day‑to‑day plaza activities and ensuring compliance with ONroute and governmental standards, regulations and policies. Qualifications 3‑5 years of experience as a Supervisor or Manager in high‑volume food and beverage or merchandise operations, or related management experience. Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to lead by example and be dedicated to training, coaching, and developing a team to deliver results. Exceptional customer experience focus. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills; approachable. Sound operational experience and knowledge within the fast‑food/food service industry. Reliable transportation to travel to and from the plaza. Compensation Minimum Salary: $49,300; Maximum Salary Range: $69,000. The base salary range represents the low and high ends of the ONroute salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on job duties, experience and performance. Other rewards may include bonuses, benefits and paid time off.
