The Prince George's County Office of the State's Attorney is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill an Administrative Aide 1 position, in the Youth Justice Division.
This is a dually allocated support position in which the incumbent will provide entry level administrative and legal support and assistance to our Youth Justice Unit. Additionally, incumbents will perform routine to moderately difficult office responsibilities such as handling and coordinating a variety of complex administrative functions and activities within assigned Unit. Prepares letters, memorandums, reports, labels, envelopes, subpoenas, motions, court orders, petitions, writs and other legal documents from case files, handwritten copy, and verbal instructions from assigned Assistant State's Attorneys. Prepares subpoenas for witnesses and police officers for court hearings in accordance with established procedures while utilizing the Odyssey File and Serve (MDEC) system along with Judicial Dialog (JD) and JPortal. Prepares documents used in the legal profession from handwritten notes and verbal Instructions; with a high degree of accuracy under the close supervision of the Unit Chiefs.

The State's Attorney's Office (SAO) is responsible for serving nearly one million residents of Prince George's County. The SAO's legal department is divided into multiple divisions, each of which has jurisdiction over different facets of criminal law.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet all minimum qualifications listed below to be eligible for additional consideration:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate with coursework in typing, office practices or other related clerical subjects.
- One (1) year of advanced diverse and/or technical clerical experience which must have involved working with the public for at least six (6) months.
Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered. Each applicant must include information that clearly demonstrates the above qualifications for this position.
