Registered Nurse - Correctional Health

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 26-52 weeks

Requirements
- Current license and registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals.
- Perform health assessments and develop/implement nursing care plans.
- Diagnose and treat responses to actual or potential health problems through nursing services, including case-finding, teaching, and counseling.
- Supervise and educate Graduate Nurses, LPNs, and direct care staff.
- Consult with treatment teams and serve on interdisciplinary health committees.

Compliance / Notes
- Criminal History Form clearance required before start; may take up to 4 weeks.
- Valid state RN license required; no exceptions.
- RTO (Return to Office) documentation must be presented at time of submittal.
