You will own the full finance function, from FP&A and management reporting through to financial control, tax, and statutory compliance, while also holding oversight of U.S. payroll and its associated regulatory obligations. You will manage the financial governance of U.S. government-funded projects, ensuring full compliance with applicable federal grant and contract requirements, and will hold full financial management responsibility for Flyttr's commercial arm based in California. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will serve as the key financial link between the San Antonio site, the California commercial business, and Flyttr's international headquarters.
Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain financial models supporting site fit-out, commissioning, and steady-state manufacturing operations, including capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis.
- Provide management reporting and financial analysis to the Site Director, Group CFO, and HQ leadership, translating financial performance into actionable business insight.
- Monitor cost performance against budget, identifying variances, risks, and efficiency opportunities across the site and commercial arm.
- Act as the business partner supporting and advising the local US based management team on all financial and commercial matters – their trusted advisor.
Financial Control & Accounting
- Own the U.S. financial control environment, including month-end and year-end close, general ledger integrity, and account reconciliations.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures in line with U.S. GAAP and Group accounting standards.
- Manage the preparation of the entity annual financial statements and coordinate the external audit, working with external auditors and tax advisors, and the Group CFO.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury/cash management functions for U.S. entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of U.S. financial results into Group reporting, resolving reporting or policy differences with HQ finance.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax obligations, working with external tax advisors as needed.
- Oversee transfer pricing arrangements between U.S. entities and Flyttr's international operations, ensuring compliance with IRS and international tax requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax legislation and proactively advise leadership on tax risk, planning opportunities, and regulatory change.

- Partner with HR on payroll system selection, implementation, and controls as the U.S. workforce scales.
Government-Funded Project Finance
- Own the financial management of U.S. government-funded projects, including budgeting, cost allocation, and financial reporting in accordance with applicable federal grant and contract requirements (e.g., Uniform Guidance/2 CFR 200 where applicable).
- Ensure robust financial controls and audit-readiness for government-funded activity, coordinating with program/project leads and external auditors or grantor agencies as required.
- Monitor compliance with allowable cost principles, reporting deadlines, and any award-specific financial terms and conditions.
CA Commercial Business
- Hold full financial management responsibility for Flyttr's commercial business based in California, including FP&A, financial control, statutory compliance, and reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, pricing analysis, margin management, and revenue recognition for the California commercial business.
- Own inter-entity accounting, transfer pricing, and financial controls between the Group and the California commercial operation.

- Build strong working relationships with local management, Group CFO, external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant U.S. regulatory bodies.
- Work across the Finance leadership team on group initiatives, be they strategic or tactical and be a thought leader as we evolve our finance function to meet the existing challenges created by growth and commercial expansion.
