A nationally recognized vertical apparel retailer is seeking a Merchant to help shape the product vision for a growing region. In this role, you'll partner closely with Design and Product Development to bring assortments to lifefrom initial concept through final delivery. You'll own both the creative direction and financial performance of your category, balancing trend-right product with customer demand and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Design and Product Development to create and execute seasonal assortments from concept through delivery.
• Drive the vision and strategy for an assigned product category, ensuring assortments reflect current trends, customer insights, and brand direction.
• Balance creative merchandising decisions with sales, margin, and inventory analysis to maximize business performance.
• Analyze business results, identify opportunities, and make recommendations to optimize assortment, pricing, and product mix.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Allocation, Sourcing, Production, and Merchandising teams to ensure successful product launches and in-season execution.
• Stay ahead of emerging fashion trends, competitive activity, and consumer preferences to develop compelling, market-relevant assortments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of apparel merchandising experience with a vertically integrated retail brand.
• Strong understanding of the product creation lifecycle, from concept and line planning through production and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to blend analytical thinking with a strong eye for fashion, product, and consumer trends.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities, categories, and brand assignments may change.
