Sr. Accountant (Temporary)

Location Onsite four days per week in Sherman Oaks, CA (remote candidates will not be considered) ColourPop is looking for a Temporary Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing the duties listed below and assisting the Accounting Department as directed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to follow instructions, pay attention to detail, and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Wholesale, third‑party & DTC billing experience into third‑party EDI system(s) is required Prepare month‑end billings recording revenue in accordance with GAAP Ensures integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions Prepare month‑end COGS entries associated with products sold Support month‑end and year‑end close including management of tasks maintained in closing checklist Prepare month‑end reconciliations including subledgers to general ledger Review internal financial statements and investigate variances to forecasts Support sales & use tax audits as needed Evaluate and continually improve internal controls and procedures Provide supporting documentation for audits Maintain confidentiality of organizational information Compiles and analyzes account information Required Skills and Abilities Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy Strong organizational skills Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities, and react to challenges in a fast‑paced environment Critical thinking and initiative to proactively solve problems Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing Strong work ethic with high degree of integrity and professionalism Ability to work well in a team environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 5 years or more general accounting experience required Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting procedures and policies Microsoft Dynamics Navision or comparable accounting software experience Experience with data integration between systems Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel Ability to learn third‑party systems used in daily operations The hourly rate is $39‑43 DOE.
