Staff Technical Program Manager, Data Marketplace LiveRamp is a leading data collaboration platform that empowers organizations to build a connected customer view while protecting privacy and trust. We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager for our Data Marketplace in SanFrancisco, a core product that connects buyers and sellers of data across our global network. Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end program management of strategic initiatives for the Data Marketplace, from scoping and requirements through launch and post‑launch optimization. Coordinate and communicate product and engineering work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Operations, and Support to keep all stakeholders aligned on priorities, milestones, and risks. Drive the software development lifecycle for marketplace programs—ideation, specification, prioritization, design, implementation, testing, launch, and iteration—using data to guide tradeoffs and decisions. Build and maintain program plans, dependency maps, and risk registers for complex, cross‑functional efforts such as new marketplace capabilities, partner integrations, and platform migrations. Define, implement, and monitor program health metrics (e.g., delivery predictability, cycle time, defect rates, adoption/usage, and operational SLAs) to drive continuous improvement. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and cross‑team rituals (planning, backlog refinement, stand‑ups, demos, retrospectives) to support predictable delivery and high team engagement. Lead incident and issue response for marketplace‑impacting problems, including triage, mitigation, root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up actions. Identify process gaps and friction points in marketplace delivery and lead structured efforts to improve or redesign them. Create concise, executive‑ready status reporting highlighting progress, risks, decisions, and impact against goals. Champion best practices in program and project management, helping to standardize tools, templates, and ways of working across teams. Model LiveRamp’s values, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and inclusion and supporting teams through ambiguity, changing priorities, and challenging timelines. Team and Projects The role will manage a technical program portfolio that supports teams building marketplace services, partner integrations, and tooling for data onboarding, discovery, and monetization. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Go‑to‑Market stakeholders to prioritize and deliver initiatives that improve marketplace quality, transparency, privacy, and performance. The position also involves coordinating complex, multi‑quarter roadmaps and supporting partner‑facing teams during major launches. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or similar role in a software product or platform environment. Demonstrated experience with Agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban, or similar) and running or supporting key ceremonies. Strong technical fluency: ability to understand system architecture diagrams, APIs, and data flows to identify dependencies and support technical decision‑making. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailoring detail to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, using metrics to measure program health and guide prioritization. Comfortable working in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with the ability to structure unstructured problems, create plans from incomplete information, and adapt to change. Experience coordinating incident response or production support with engineering, support, and customer‑facing teams. Ability to manage multiple programs or workstreams, organize competing priorities, and keep stakeholders aligned. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Skills Experience with large‑scale data or distributed systems, data pipelines, governance, and privacy‑by‑design principles. Background on marketplace, platform, or ecosystem products serving both supply and demand‑side customers or partners. Hands‑on experience with program management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar) and reporting/BI tools for dashboards and KPIs. Familiarity with CI/CD, feature flagging, experimentation, and observability/monitoring. Experience driving change management initiatives, rolling out new processes, tools, or operating models. Background working with external technology, data, or channel partners on joint initiatives or integrations. Certification or training in program/project management or Agile methodologies (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) is a plus.
