Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Level Securities Litigation Associate with 4+ years of relevant experience to join a sophisticated litigation practice. The position is particularly well suited for an experienced litigator seeking to handle complex securities-related disputes and high-stakes litigation .

The preferred locations are San Francisco or Silicon Valley , although candidates interested in other office locations may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated securities litigation matters .
• Support complex cases through all stages of litigation.
• Conduct substantive legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Assist with discovery, case strategy, and preparation for hearings and trial.
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex disputes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Take increasing responsibility for matters based on experience and demonstrated ability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant litigation experience.
• Meaningful experience with securities litigation .
• Superior academic credentials.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage sophisticated, fast-paced litigation matters.
• Strong attention to detail and professional judgment.
• Must be admitted in the jurisdiction of the applicable office or eligible to sit for or waive into the next available bar examination .

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $310,000–$435,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
