• Reviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines.
• Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications.
• Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications.
• Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related problems specific to specialty medications.
• Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans.
• Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies.
• Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications.
• Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current Pharmacist License in good standing in State of Arizona.
• Reside in the State of Arizona within commutable distance of Chandler, AZ.
• Six months pharmacy experience.
• Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.

• Licenses in other states desirable.
• Prefer Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions.

Education - Bachelor's / Pharm D degree in Pharmacy. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $50.48 - $84.62 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
