Reliability Monitor Anaylst

Job Summary Assesses the compliance of both ERCOT and ERCOT Market Participants with Texas electric reliability laws, including the Texas Administrative Code, the Public Utility Regulatory Act (PURA), Texas Public Utility Commission (PUCT) Substantive Rules, ERCOT Protocols and other binding documents. Duties include analyzing data, conducting investigations and audits, drafting reports, and providing testimony for the PUCT’s Enforcement Division. Conducts and participates in reliability audits and works closely with ERCOT Legal and Subject Matter Experts to ensure quality submissions to the PUCT. Job Duties Builds and maintains data analysis reports and queries using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Python, and IBM Cognos. Identifies performance measures and documentation requirements related to ERCOT regulatory standards. Monitors and reports ERCOT and Market Participant performance and compliance with reliability-related protocols. Reviews performance during system events in accordance with PUCT and ERCOT requirements. Monitors changes to Texas electric reliability laws and updates assessment procedures. Provides support to PUCT staff in reliability‑related compliance and enforcement activities. Conducts audits to ensure compliance with reliability‑related requirements. Updates compliance tools, tracks audit progress, and manages an audit documentation library. Requirements Level2: Minimum1year job‑related experience beyond degree requirements. Level3: Minimum3years job‑related experience beyond degree requirements. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required; equivalent education and experience accepted. Location Taylor, TX – Employees must be on‑site at least 2 days per week. Remote work is performed from a Texas residence; employees may opt to work on‑site more frequently.
