The system involves advanced mapping techniques to create detailed images of the heart's electrical activity, helping physicians identify abnormal areas causing arrhythmias. About The Role As a Sr. UX/UI Designer, your role will be at the intersection of design and innovation. As part of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions team, you will work with a team of product managers, clinical specialists, engineers, and designers, guiding the design of our products, and shaping what amazing experiences look and feel like from a user perspective. You will work with a cross-functional team to understand strategic priorities and goals, and create design solutions that help meet those goals. As a Sr. UX/UI Designer you are a master of your craft, bringing your design vision to the team and creating exciting design solutions that help us transform the cardiac ablation space, with product experience at the core. Your curiosity, passion for human-centric design, and problem-solving prowess will be pivotal to your success. You are comfortable with a highly collaborative, fast paced work environment and are able to respond to changing needs, successfully advancing in several different work streams ranging from prototyping new features, integration with other Medtronic software and hardware products, and delivery of software releases into investigational and pre-clinical studies. You will lead on this journey to maturity, ensuring the team and stakeholders are connected, inspired and fully engaged in this journey You will continually develop a deep understanding of the full eco-system of our customers (patients, clinicians, payor) and how product design can create the most value at an overall experience level (removing barriers of hardware / software / customer type) You will work in strong collaboration and active partnership with the software development team, ensuring you are prioritizing product design tasks to where there is the highest contribution and value against our strategy and roadmap You have a passion for building a culture of design quality, instilling a shared responsibility across the broader team to achieve design excellence Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Degree concentration in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Interactive Design or related field Expert-level knowledge of Figma and Jira Experience collaborating with a hardware team on the development of a combined software/hardware product Experience with medical device design and knowledge of FDA and IEC design guidelines Demonstrable experience in crafting innovative solutions using techniques such as design thinking, human centered design, service design, UX/UI design, systems thinking, analytical thinking, and storytelling Proven ability to deliver value in a complex and changing environment. Able to influence and build strong credibility with diverse and challenging stakeholder group Excellent communication skills.
