Project Controls AnalystThe Project Controls Analyst supports project managers and project controls functions across construction-related projects, serving as a critical member of the project team. This role ensures that financial documentation, subcontractor invoices, project budgets, and client invoicing packages are accurate, complete, and ready for management review. The position offers high visibility into project financial management and provides a strong foundation for career growth in project controls, project management, cost engineering, commercial management, or construction management.ResponsibilitiesReview subcontractor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contract terms.Verify purchase orders, billing periods, and all supporting documentation required for invoicing.Prepare comprehensive invoice packages for project manager review and approval.Support client billing and project invoicing processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions.Validate labor rates, labor categories, and project cost allocations to maintain financial integrity.Assist with budget tracking, including monitoring spending and comparing actuals to budget.Help prepare forecasting and project financial reports to support decision-making and project performance monitoring.Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation and financial records.Coordinate regularly with project managers, accounting personnel, procurement, construction teams, and subcontractors to gather information and resolve issues.Identify discrepancies related to project costs, invoices, and billing, and take proactive steps to resolve them.Support project cost reporting and financial controls activities to ensure compliance with internal standards.Contribute to project controls tasks such as cost tracking, budget reporting, and forecasting.Assist with construction administration and contract administration activities related to billing and documentation.Coordinate subcontractor billing documentation and ensure all required backup documentation is received and complete.Utilize ERP systems and project scheduling tools to support project financial analysis and reporting.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree plus 2 or more years of relevant experience, or Associate degree plus 4 or more years of relevant experience.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with data, formulas, and reports.Experience reviewing invoices or financial documentation in a professional setting.Understanding of project budgets, cost tracking, and basic project financial processes.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies before they impact project performance.Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple documents, tasks, and deadlines.Effective communication skills for collaborating with project managers, accounting personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the construction industry, particularly on large industrial or EPC projects.Hands-on project controls experience, including cost tracking, budget reporting, and forecasting.Exposure to project accounting and construction accounting practices.Experience with contract administration, including understanding billing terms and documentation requirements.Experience supporting engineering, environmental, or construction projects.Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Deltek for project cost reporting and financial controls.Experience with project coordination and project scheduling tools.Background in financial analysis related to project performance and cost management.Interest in career progression into Project Controls, Project Management, Cost Engineering, Commercial Management, or Construction Management.Work EnvironmentThis role is 100% onsite in a construction trailer environment in Lansdale, PA. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with typical hours of approximately 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The work setting is collaborative, with daily interaction among project managers, construction teams, procurement, accounting, and client stakeholders. The environment is closely connected to active construction activities and project execution, providing direct exposure to project financial management and project controls processes.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.17 - $41.35/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
