We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) ICU / Step-Down Float Pool for a 13-week contract position in Rockford, Illinois. This role supports multiple inpatient units, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Step-Down, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Medical-Surgical services.

Candidates must have ICU experience and extensive cardiac experience and be willing to float to Medical-Surgical and other assigned units based on patient care needs.

• Provide nursing care across ICU, Step-Down, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Medical-Surgical units according to patient acuity and staffing needs.

• Assess patients, develop individualized plans of care, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and evaluate clinical outcomes.

• Apply critical thinking to recognize changes in patient condition, promote patient safety, and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and provide patient and family education throughout the plan of care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and participate in unit or department performance improvement activities.

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Required.

• Minimum 2 Years of Nursing Experience With ICU Experience Required.

• Extensive Cardiac Experience Required; Must Be Willing to Float to Medical-Surgical and Other Assigned Units.

• Current BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Certifications Required; Holiday Coverage Required.

The Registered Nurse will provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across critical care, telemetry, step-down, and medical-surgical units.
